WE ARE WHAT WE EAT !
It is a famous quote…”We are what we eat”…which make us understand the fact that it is totally our responsibility to choose the right kind of food to nourish ourselves..We often eat food just to satisfy our taste buds despite of the fact that it is the only thing that actually used as a fuel to sustain our metabolic machinery.. and somehow determines overall health and vitality. However, one more thing is very important to mention is the quality of food..as it is very unfortunate situation that we don’t have any parameter available yet at grassroot level to assess the quality of food…we just bought the raw food from the market and consume it… with out knowing the actual condition of food..so it is very important to correct our way of cooking…so that nutrient loss can be minimised. Soaking, Fermentation, Sprouting are very good techniques to enhance the nutrient value of a food at home level. One must avoid left over and refrigerated food kept for too long periods. We can’t control what food is available in market..but what can we do is to keep ourselves updated about the cooking techniques to minimise the nutrient loss in a meal what we get to eat.
